8 Riversuites won Green Mark Gold for giving residents a healthy living space while conserving energy. Solar heat gain is minimised via an elevated landscape deck with high thermal insulation. Where possible, environmentally-friendly materials such as green cement, washed copper slag and waterproofing wet membrane are used. Energy efficient timer lighting is used in all common staircases. In addition, residential blocks are designed with a well-ventilated common refuse chute to minimise airborne contaminants from waste. Submeters monitor water usage while water-efficient fittings encourage water conservation. Recycling bins and other green measures will be implemented throughout the development. Residents will be given a building guide detailing all its green measures as well.
